Resources & facilities
At CAVENDISH COLLEGE we are proud of the resources available to our students, both full time and part time. We have all the facilities you would expect in a modern international College and are committed to constantly upgrading these facilities to maintain their high standards.
The College occupies a purpose-built six floor building in the heart of London with a large number of classrooms, library, five computer laboratories and seven specialist creative studies studios.
Classrooms
The classrooms are modern, clean, well lit and equipped with the usual whiteboard, digital projection and Audio/Video equipment that you would expect in a modern college.
In addition all classrooms have computer network hard points to enable teachers to use the college network and the internet as tools for their lessons.
Computer Labs
The computer rooms at Cavendish College are equipped with the latest technology, including all the additional hardware which today's students of IT courses are expected to be familiar with: scanners, laser printers, DVD/DC writers, LCD projectors, video editing facilities, etc. As the field of computing advances, we continually upgrade our equipment to keep our students abreast of the newer and better technology as it becomes available.
The software packages used by Cavendish students are those currently required for a professional career. These packages are continuously upgraded to the latest version to ensure that the courses are absolutely up to date. Cavendish operates an ‘open access' policy for its students thus enabling room availability to all full-time students for practice outside of normal taught class hours.
Library
At Cavendish College we place great emphasis on students' own research into their chosen field and encourage them to use the college's library facilities. Our library has thousands of texts relating to the courses taught here. We also subscribe to dozens of specialist journals and trade magazines in order to help our students keep abreast of all the latest trends and advances in their chosen field, be it art, computing, travel, business or hospitality management.
The college also subscribes to a number of ‘online' resources that students can gain access to – depending on their course.
WI-FI Internet
Cavendish College provides access to the internet to all full time students within its library environment, computer rooms and also by wireless connection using your own laptop anywhere else around the College.
Café
We have a large canteen and restaurant in the building where students can meet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere outside lessons.
The canteen provides snacks and hot and cold beverages throughout the day. In addition, at lunchtime students can enjoy meals from a selection including delicious Thai specialities.
