The Pre-Masters Award in Interior and Architectural Design Practice and Management is intended to attract students with interests in all aspects of spatial design wishing to pursue a career in this field. Interior design now encompasses a broader knowledge of the constructed environment and the imaginative manipulation of space. Architecture recognises the roles that form, colour, texture and light have to play in the creation of an interior. You'll learn how people use and respond to architectural space and how design impacts upon the natural environment. This well-rounded and stimulating foundation year provides students with the technical and theoretical skills and creative confidence necessary for the next stage of their career, whether vocational or academic.
