Fashion is a dynamic and challenging industry,
offering rewarding careers to those individuals
who are energetic, innovative, creative and able to
adapt to change. Our programme is intended to
encourage design originality underpinned with an
understanding of the fashion industry. It offers a broad foundation of skills and experiences so that students can decide which branch of the industry
their personal talents are most suited for.

KEY INFO

Entry:

Higher secondary education (or equivalent)

Or be of mature student status with relevant work experience

A portfolio from an art background is useful but not
compulsory

IELTS 5.5 or equivalent English Language level

Qualification:

Cavendish College Diploma & Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Fashion and Textiles

Duration:

One academic year

Assessment:

Continuous assessment based on coursework projects

Course commencement:

> September > January

 

PROGRESSION

On successful completion, candidates should have the knowledge, experience and confi dence to take their fi rst steps into the industry. The course also provides preparation for entry to Higher Education at FDa or BA level. Students progressingto Higher Education are supported through the UCAS application process. For those wishing to be self employed we recommend additional study of the Fashion Marketing course.
