The area of Interior Design provides a wide range of career opportunities from residential, retail, social, civic and industrial projects to corporate, leisure and hospitality design.

In recent years there has been a shift in emphasis in this discipline from the specification of surface decorations, fixtures and fittings towards a broader knowledge of the architecture of interiors.

- Introduction to Interior Design

- History of the profession, current and alternative design practices

- Technology of materials "wall and floor finishes"

- Lighting scheme, colour schemes

- Furniture design and selection

- College project, scheme design

- Presentation of ideals, sample board (theory)

- Project execution (practical) and final assessment
