Cavendish College London

Digital Media

CAVENDISH Prof. Dip
Computer Animation

The Cavendish Diploma is a creative professional course aimed at anyone passionate about animation who wants to build skills, knowledge and an animation portfolio. The programme is supported by a study of the history of animation and the career models within media production. Projects in term 1 explore traditional and digital animation techniques. In term 2 full character design and storytelling skills are developed using a wide range of traditional methods through to purely computer generated 3D animation.

In term 3 students develop and produce an individual project, guided by specialist tutors with the opportunity to develop hybrid techniques and original visual styles only limited by each student's imagination. At the end of term 3 a final exhibition presents both physical and screen based portfolios of work created on the course.
