Pre-Masters Award in Film and Video Production Practice and Management

The Pre-Masters Award in Film and Video Production Practice and Management is available on completion of one year of advanced study. The programme is suitable for students with degree level Design or Media education and/or professional experience in film or video production. This course is designed for those seeking professional development and a supportive environment for advanced project development, with options for comprehensive practical training, supported by strong critical and contextual framework.

As well as building key skills through an individually designed timetable, post graduate students develop their ideas and project proposals through seminars and tutorials. The final two terms of the course are devoted to developing a major video production project designed through negotiation with subject specialist tutors.

Level of commitment, enthusiasm and creative talent in film and TV production

IELTS: 6.0 (or equivalent English Language Level)

Mature applicants with relevant work experience (without the normal academic qualifications) can also be considered

 

PROGRESSION

Successful candidates will be well prepared to take up employment in the film and video environment. Although the Pre-Masters programme is a respected qualification in its own right, after successful completion of the course, successful students may continue to a Master's Degree at a UK University.
