Essentially there is a difference between the systems used in Leisure Travel and Business Travel, Leisure Travel use ‘Viewdata’ and Business Travel use ‘Computer Reservations Systems’.
Leisure Travel have three systems:-
PRESTEL, ISTEL & FASTRAK.
Business Travel have four majors CRS’s:-
GALILEO; SABRE; AMADEUS; WORLDSPAN.
This course has been designed for candidates with little or no travel experience who wish to enter the travel industry, or existing travel staff who would like to progress into business travel. Suitable for students completing either the Level 1 or 2 Fares and Ticketing courses at Cavendish College. The aim of the course is to familiarize the students with one of the standard computer reservation packages that is widely used within the air travel industry.
